Allan Nascimento to Fight for Inaugural XFC Flyweight World Championship Title

A hard three-round victory over Ukrainian Ruslan Abiltarov at XFCi 7 granted Allan Nascimento the XFC Flyweight World Championship Title shot he has dreamed about since his HeXagon debut.  This morning, XFC President Myron Molotky officially announced that the Brazilian rising star is fighting for the promotion’s undisputed Flyweight belt in 2015. Molotky and “Puro Osso” had a brief conversation while still at the arena right after the fight.  Opponent, date and venue are to be announced.

“Nascimento earned the right to be the first XFC Flyweight World Championship Title contender, after a stunning performance against a really tough opponent in Abiltarov”, Molotky stated. “XFC is getting together to decide the details to make the fight happen in the early months of 2015. This kid always provides the fans and the audience a show. He represents exactly what we want from our fighters and I’m sure it won’t be any different in the title fight.”

To earn the right to be XFC’s number one Flyweight contender, Allan “Puro Osso” Nascimento had to surpass three challenges inside the HeXagon. He debuted in June, submitting Chilean Matias Vasquez with a late-third round armbar, then forced Andre “Minobroca” Lourenco to tap out due to a brabo choke in 3 minutes of the fight. Against Ukrainian prospect Ruslan Abiltarov, Nascimento has experienced his toughest challenge in a hard fought three round main event.

“I got extremely excited when I received the news from Myron (Molotky, XFC president) right after I was announced the winner against Abiltarov, last Saturday”, he remembers. “He came to me and said: ‘You are going to fight for our first Flyweight belt’. Right now, my plan is to rest for a few more days, then get back to the gym and train even harder. Although I don’t know the date yet, I want to be in the best shape I’ve ever been when I step inside the HeXagon. I want and I’m going to be the XFC World Champion”.

“I’ve waited for this moment with the XFC and now it will happen in 2015. I await my chance, because I did a great job throughout 2014. I’m young, I have more evolving to do, but every year I want and dream for more. I will be the flyweight champion in the XFC. I’ll be the owner of the belt. And I know, from there, I’ll become one of the main fighters to be beaten in the franchise.” said Allan Nascimento

A 23-year old prodigy, forged at Chute Boxe Diego Lima and Babuíno Gold Team, Allan Nascimento has won four straight fights, carrying an impressive record of 14 wins and only two losses. His win against Abiltarov was the first ever of his career to come by the hands of the judges, the remainder of his wins include 12 submissions and two knockouts. His two defeats have come by decision.
