Superfighter Bruno “Macaco” Azevedo Seeks to Become the First Ever Flyweight World Champion | XFC Spotlight


Grand Rapids, MI | March 2nd, 2015 – The XFC Flyweight World Championship will be presented at XFCi 9 come March 14th, inside the HeXagon at the São Paulo Futebol Clube. With one XFC warrior primed for this opportunity, a worthy opponent to Allan Nascimento had to emerge from the mma ranks. That combatant is Bruno Azevedo from Brasilia FD, Brazil.

The eight year veteran of professional mma will enter the HeXagon for the first time in his career at XFCi 9. In a highly anticipated main event, he will bring a 12-2 overall record.  Bruno “Macaco” Azevedo will be able to utilize his experienced resume’ along with his solid Jiu-Jitsu skill set as he battles for the XFC Flyweight World Championship. In his last professional performance, the 5’6” Azevedo defeated his opponent in the first round with an arm-triangle choke submission. Since that bout in late November of 2014, Bruno has been training in hopes for a premier fight opportunity, one that has now been granted for March 14th.

With a well balanced arsenal of skills and athletic abilities, the Nova Uniao member will bring a new type of fighter for XFC fans to enjoy. Riding a current two win fight streak, Bruno will look to extend it along with picking up the World Championship Title in the process. With a tough opponent matched against him in Nascimento, the XFC Flyweight World Championship will surely bring a new level of warrior to the mma world.
