Preparing to fight for his third time inside the heXagon, “The Phenom” has been victorious in his previous two, both with swift and skillful submissions. The Michigan born XFC bantamweight has represented himself with the X principles since he began his professional career. With his success within the XFC, James Gray has emerged as not only a submission artist, but a knowledgeable fighter, sharing his passion and skills to other XFC competitors he meets. With his rear-naked choke submission victory at XFCi 9, in merely 54 seconds, James Gray earned his semifinal victory in the quickest of his professional career. After his quick victory, “The Phenom” also had some extra time to enjoy the festivities of the event at the São Paulo Futbol Clube; giving a post fight interview where he delivered an inspirational message to fans Worldwide, “we are all one, even though we’re fighting, we are all the same, we’re all in this together, and we are here to help each other succeed.” With his message present on his fight banner in English, Gray took to learning the Portuguese translation as well while in Brazil, Somos Todos Um.
Now James prepares for the biggest fight of his career at XFCi 10 and will seek to continue his development with his team at Scorpion Fighting Systems.
